An unregulated profession makes it hard to know who you can actually trust with your finances. That puts the burden of trust on you — and that's the last thing you need on top of running a practice. It takes away from your capacity to actually do your work. 

I have a bookkeeping diploma, highest honours, in wholesale accounting. I bring my education and adjust it to the scale of your practice — so the support is there, and your focus can stay where it can do the greatest good. 

I do not guess. If a transaction shows up with no matching document and no clear trail, I do not file it under "close enough". I dig until I know what it actually is, or flag it until the answer's found. I'd rather spend the extra ten minutes verifying than let something sit wrong for a year.

A stack of receipts, e-transfers, and bank entries doesn't tell you anything on its own. The work is turning that pile into a cohesive picture. When something doesn't reconcile, the mismatch itself won't tell you why. You have to deduce what combination of data will highlight the missing piece. 

It's the solving of those puzzles with the clean math of financial records that drew me to bookkeeping in the first place. A set of books that doesn't add up isn't a nuisance to me, it's the fun part. 

I'm Xero certified, and Xero is the only platform I work in — unlike more famous accounting software, it keeps the accounting process visible instead of hiding it under the hood.
